Hi :)I got a case like this, that i have bought used. There is all fans except the side one. There is a adapter with the Case that you can power all 4 by one power cable. The rear ones is doing normal speed and are quiet. But the rear one is really going very fast and very loud. Is this normal?.I put a DVD drive into the case. Is it normal that it won't go through the DVD hole in the case if its the Stock "front plate" that is on the DVD drive? Thanks :)

Complete overkill for an HTPC, even by today's standards.

@roflmewaffles granted that this was made in 2008, but there were low power/cost solution existing even then.

@roflmewaffles well it is simple really, a quad core phenom II and a 4850 is overkill, there is no media content that will even come close to maxing out that hardware. the hardware requirements to run 1080p flash video with solid performance (the most processing intensive task a HTPC will encounter) will only use a fraction of that hardware. a d525 desktop ion motherboard would be more than enough, at the fraction of the cost, running at about 40 watts at a fraction of the cost would be better.

@LemonPieLoL Educate us, Einstein. Ya miserable fucktard.

HTPC? are you kidding me?? that is just a gaming machine with an HTPC case and a TV capture card, so what? you people just don't get it, honestly.

If you got a better video card you didn't need to buy that sound card. Passthrough audio lossless is available in the better video cards.

The components are not really "htpc-ish". More like a gaming pc for me. I say overkill
